About Alyssa Ayala

My approach to therapy is integrative, with a strong foundation in person-centered principles. I believe in the importance of building a trusting therapeutic relationship and tailoring treatment to each individual’s unique needs. I also incorporate techniques from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients develop practical coping skills, increase self-awareness, and foster meaningful, lasting change.

I am a Mental Health Counselor–Limited Permit (MHC-LP) with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Wellness from New York University. I am a warm, compassionate therapist who is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, academic and work-related stress, relationship concerns, and family dynamics. I understand that reaching out for support can feel difficult, and I strive to meet each client with empathy, respect, and genuine care.
