About Chenelle Gordon

I pride myself on reading counseling literature and publications to stay adept to the field. I work with various populations of children, young adults and adults. I also have experience working with pregnancy, college students, racial trauma and multicultural issues. It is my utmost goal to incorporate my clients’ unique experiences to promote a multifaceted approach to therapy. I hope to curate a warm and welcoming space that challenges my clients to be their best selves.

My name is Chenelle Gordon, and I am an MHC-LP. My work in the field began as a crisis counselor where I used evidence-based techniques to de-escalate crisis situations. I tend to bring a sense of tranquility and clarity to complex and acute cases. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from the University at Albany. My therapeutic style is based in an integrative approach, where I tailor my interventions to my client’s needs. I work from the modalities of cognitive behavioral therapy, multicultural therapy and emotional focused therapy.
